Weight Watchers??

I'm considering doing this online.

Can you share your stories....successes and failures?? Especially if you did it online.

Re: Weight Watchers??

I did it online. But to be honest, I need the accountability that meetings provide. So I am going to sign up again (I quit several months ago) and do meetings.

I do think online can work, but just not for me. Also I am lucky in that now I can fit in a meeting, because I chose online because I just didn't have time for meetings.

Re: Weight Watchers??

okay did it online and it sucks. Going to the meeting is way better. I was good for a few weeks than I stopped - there was no accountability

Re: Weight Watchers??

I did online only and lost 60lbs in the year before my wedding. Since then I have slacked, had 2 kids, and gained most of it back.

I just started online again 2 months ago and I have lost 22lbs so far. I'm very hard on myself and I weigh myself every single day.

I did the meetings for a short time years ago and didn't feel like I was getting anything out of them so I joined online.

Re: Weight Watchers??

I started online for the first time in Jan... I was doing great! Lost about 13lbs that full month just from eating right and exercising and then keeping track of it on there.
Then came my DSs birthday. Not was it that I wasn't eating healthy, it was just that I was doing so much for the party, so I wasn't eating LOL. And that stopped me from going online to keep track of it. I haven't gained anything since then, but I still haven't been on since. My bad. Now that its getting warmer out, I'm getting back on track and hope to be back down to my true size by summer...

Re: Weight Watchers??

I submitted a success story to weight watchers back in December (Still Haven't heard back from there...Chat Icon ) But here is what I had written:

I joined Weight Watchers in January 2008, one month after I had gotten engaged. I had previously put on weight during college and decided I wanted it to come off once and for all.

As soon as I joined, I was full swing in Weight Watchers mode. I counted points, tracked points, and measured. At the same time, I also allowed myself to induldge (so happy for those extra allowance points!). The biggest help were the meetings. Even though I woke up early on Sunday mornings, I still looked forward to each week. I had a whole support system in one room- to cheer on my successes, and see me through those tough weeks. Over the months, I watched as the weight melted away.

I have been a lifetime member, at goal, for almost 2 1/2 years now. Weight Watchers has become exactly what it was promised to me- a lifestyle change. I don't feel like I have been on a year long diet. I changed the way I ate.

After achieveing lifetime status, I wanted new goals. I took up running, with a goal of running a 10k. Not only did I run that 10k, I signed up for many more races (including two half marathons- both of which I successfully finished!).

Weight Watchers has helped me become a healthier, more active, and less self-conscious person. I proudly display my before and after pictures for everyone to see my successes!

I would be so honored to become part of the Weight Watchers online community with my success story. After graduating college I was 180lbs and a size 14/16. Today I am 120lbs. For the first time I can fit into a size 2! Weight Watchers meetings helped me fit into my ideal wedding dress, run half marathons, and turn my entire lifestyle around.

I don't go to the meetings, but I do go there to get weighed in. It's all about accountability for me.
