Any classes about taking care of twins?
So I could have sworn I read about a workshop about taking care of twins (breastfeeding, getting them on the same sleep schedule, etc.) but now I can't find it! Do they have anything like this on Long Island? I wanted to take one eventually just to get some advice. Thanks!

Re: Any classes about taking care of twins?
Sure, this is what I found on the internet. Hopefully it's current. I don't know if they have other classes like this anywhere else. I figured it'd be helpful since I don't know how to take care of one baby, let alone two!

My name is Rebecca Kammerer from the company Parents "R" Talking. (formerly the company Parent Sense) I have a group workshop coming up in April that will cover all you need to know about your new infant twins. (i.e. what to expect before, during and after their arrival, how to breastfeed tandem or one at a time and /or bottle feed two at a time, getting them onto the same schedule, twin mom and dad tips that you can only get from a parent of twins etc.) Sorry the March workshop is already full. I also have Private Workshops that can be tailored to your schedule.
Check out my ad here on LIFamilies under Parenting Classes and my site at www.ParentsRTalking.com.
I look forward to hearing from you. Rebecca Kammerer 917-862-7644

Thank you, I'm only 12 weeks pregnant now, so I would probably not sign up for another month or two anyway, but I'll contact you when I figure out when I want to sign up. Thanks for the info!

Hi Christine79,
You are 12 weeks - Congrats! You may wish to sign-up soon, even for the April or May sessions, as I only take 4 couples per group and they tend to fill-up.
Look forward to hearing from you!

Re: Any classes about taking care of twins?
The workshops are held at... Casa Del Dolce 1200 Jericho Tpke New Hyde Park, NY 11040 It's a cute little place where you can get a snack and a drink while you attend the workshop if you choose. They have specialty breads, desserts, coffees, and gelato.
Check out there Facebook page... http://www.facebook.com/pages/Casa-del-Dolce/128380960550228?v=info

Re: Any classes about taking care of twins?

Preparing for Twins/Multiples Fridays, April 8th & 15th 2011 Located at Casa del Dolce 1200 Jericho Tpke New Hyde Park, NY 11040
With two new babies(or more) on the way, chances are you have more than a few questions about how to handle the next nine months (and the ones thereafter). Luckily, Parents "R" Talking, Inc. has a wonderful 2-Part workshop that covers everything from:
-Choosing the right pediatrician for your family -Choosing the right help (family, doula, baby nurse and more) -Preparing your home for the new arrivals -Gear you will need -Breastfeeding -Bottle feeding -Getting babies on a schedule -Helping babies (and therefore parents) sleep through the night -Tips for siblings, introducing pets and more -This workshop is for expectant parents of multiples
(14 weeks pregnant and up).
Go ahead and enroll: Your buns in the oven (not to mention your nerves) will thank you some day.
Two 2-hour workshops, on the second and third Fridays of each month 7:00pm to 9:00pm | $225.00 per person/couple
Call now to secure your spot Limited to 4 couples per workshop
