NYCDOE teachers..... 403B/ TRS plan???
Hi,
I know we have our pension, the 55/25 that gets taken out of our checks. Is this the same as the TRS that gets taken out? Also, do we have a 401K or a 403B retirement plan available to us in addition that we can put money into?

The TDA is equivalent to a 403B. That you need to sign up for. I believe TRS is our pension????
Does anyone know if that is correct?

Pretty sure you are correct. The TDA is the 403(b). I strongly recommend doing the TDA because contrary to all that's thrown around these days, the pension is not huge, just guaranteed (which does count for something, I'm not saying it doesn't.) However, you really will likely need to supplement with something and the TDA is a good deal.
