1st doc appt after miscarriage
I have my 1st dr. appt today after finding out at the ER last week that I miscarried. Just seeing if you guys can tell me what to expect. TIA

I had a miscarriage and D&C, the first appt after that was just to check that I healed well and that we could start TTC again.
THe appt was pretty brief, everything looked good and the DR. said hope to see you soon!

i also had a miscarriage & D&C. The visit was quick. She just checked that everything looked good and told me we can  but she would like us to wait 2 cycles before trying again. Gave me some prenatal vitamins and I was on my way.

My doc didn't do an ultrasound. She just pressed on my stomach to see if my uterus went back to normal.

Thanks for the responses ladies. Just got back from the appt. and all he really did was talk to me. I told him what has been going on (bleeding, cramping, etc) and he said it sounds like my body is cleaning itself out naturally. He also took some blood to test my beta.

The appointment was quick, no sono.
I did have a tough time and ended up crying in the exam room. I was in the waiting room with 5 (no exaggeration) pregnant women. One of them was there for her first appointment the day of my "last" appointment. The wait felt like forever and it hurt pretty bad.
I hope you don't have to go through with that.

Awww- I'm sorry that happened to you
I was ok, until the nurse came in, rubbed my back and asked how I was- then I broke down a bit. It's tough

The first appointment back was rough for me. It was a regular routine checkup, they did a sono, but then they had me pee on a stick to see if it still came up pregnant. To hear that it was negative just made me cry. It's a catch 22 because you so want to move on - but hearing that it's over is heartbreaking.
I'm hoping your appointment went smoothly
