job search?
Hi Everyone,
How does everyone search for jobs on a daily basis? online? newspaper? with limited time (home with new baby), i'm trying to maximize the amount of time i get to spend looking for a job. Any of your suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Craigslist is great. My current job with Geico I found at careerbuilder. What kind of a job are you looking for?

I search online... there's a few job sites that are industry-specific that I scan and then I also look through careerbuilder, etc.
I don't like craigslist though, so I never check that out. Just seems like more scammy kind of jobs than reputable businesses.
I'll admit I don't look daily though, probably every other day.

I love using indeed.com. I just type in key words and it brings up different jobs.

I use this site too. Also NY state Labor dept websites have jobs too.
Also try Snagajob.com or Suffolk Job Connection @ www3.sunysuffolk.edu/Jobs/search
you can set up alerts on jobs that you want so you get emailed, this can save you time scrolling through posts you already saw.

I usually go to a couple sites each day for my profession (i.e. socialservices.com and always Indeed).
It's depressing and makes me appreciate having a job.
