Need Help. DS is sick
DS and I were in Florida this past week. We came back today. This morning he spontaneiously threw up in the hotel. Out of nowhere. He got a bath and seemed fine after. On the plane this afternoon, he slept the whole way. He spiked a fever while on the plane. We got home at 5. I gave him Tylenol at 5:30 and he seemed okay. ExH came to pick him up at 6 b/c it's his weekend. ExH just called me and said that DS threw up all over himself while in the car.
DS has never thrown up from being sick, so this is a first. He's 2 1/2. I called the dr. and I'm waiting to hear back. What do I do? Do I give him the Tylenol again? Just pedialite/water to make sure he dosen't get dehydrated?

Re: Need Help. DS is sick
You may have to go out and get Feverall suppositories tonight. If it's a stomach bug and he's not keeping anything down he may throw up the Tylenol. Don't force the liquids tonight especially not water. Pedialyte and room temp apple juice in very small amounts. My 2.5 just had this

Re: Need Help. DS is sick
It may be a stomach virus that it's going around. Keep him hydrated. Chamomile tea works well for them. Aidan had it a few weeks back, he never threw up but he did have diarreah and fever. I used therapeutic grade lavender oil for fever (bottom of feet and bath) and rubbed peppermint oil mix with plain or olive oil on his belly. I also use this homeopathic medicine called cinchona officinalis its for diarreah with gas and bloating. Its is safe for kids and adults. They are like sugar balls. I hope he gets better. Even if you're not able to get the above right away it is always good to have it handy. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

DD is 2.5 and spontaneously threw up out of no where one morning. She had strep and doc said spontaneous vomiting is a symptom.

Re: Need Help. DS is sick
Sounds like the stomach virus that went through our house. Came on quick and out of nowhere.
I would call your ped if he doesn't feel better by Monday because it could be strep too. I never knew strep could make kids throw up.
I would have your DH give hiim Tylenol or motrin for the fever and just keep him hydrated. My kids HATE pedialyte so I don't even bother. I give gatorade or watered down apple juice.
