FET with new RE (LONG)
Im so stressed out and feel like I shouldn't have to feel this way. I know I can vent to you ladies.
5 years ago I did my 1st succesful IVF with RMA of NY. We now decided to do FET however we had to switch clinics due to insurance. RMA was a well oiled machine compared to what I'm dealing with now.
I've read great reviews of this new clinic , however I'm having such issues. I had to tell them 3 times I was doing a medicated cycle. They kept giving me protocol for natural.
They sent me scripts for bloodwork that I had done in October and genetic tests that I already had done and they had record of in front of them. I had to tell them what page it was on in my medical records that were sent to them and they were like Oh yeah, there it is. Then I'm told I need a water sono which I had done in Oct again to be told, nope our mistake.
Now I'm being told they are closing there lab and won't reopen for transfer with their first date available in May, which will go beyond my April cycle, but will just keep me on meds til then? Does that make any sense? I'm sorry, I'm just so frustrated and feel like they should know what's going on with my entire medical record sitting in front of them, yet I have to tell them everything even whats included and what page it's on in the records.
I've heard great reviews about this office and maybe I just got stuck with the wrong individual there. I don't want it to seem like I'm bad mouthing the office I'm just so frustrated that I have to do someone's job when dealing with this.

Umnn...no...out of all of the things that you mentiooned, this is to me the worst and does not make sense to me. I think they should have told you about such a long lab closing and given you the option to wait. Then again, I am not a fan of having to be on meds at all to suit the schedule of an office although I know that this is standard practice. A few days to accomodate their schedule is one thing...but it sounds like you are talking about much longer than that.

I agree and with the number of times I've spoken to the office in the past month this is the 1st I'm hearing of it. I don't want to be on meds longer than necessary and shouldn't have to be. I would look into another RE but I just had my embryos transferred here from another facility and I don't want to do that again.
Thank you for your response. I think I may put this off until next month. There just seems to be too much that isn't going right.

ITA. I couldn't have said this better myself. It sounds like it isn't just one issue here but A LOT!!! I would be upset too!

Re: FET with new RE (LONG)
I'd put it off, not just so you won't be on meds so long, but so you can tell your RE or the head IVF RN that you are not happy with what's gone on and that you want a different RN monitoring your cycle. If they don't accommodate you, consider moving again. You need to feel comfortable. Good luck.
