Registry Question
So I need the BTDT multiple mommies help once again my friends, only had one baby at a time i know, i know weirdos, so they are not much help as far as quantity.
How many bottles should we register for? I THINK we are going with playtex. I would like to have a complete days worth without having to keep washing bottles. 4oz and 8 oz?
How many onsies? All sizes
How many Pacifiers?
Should I register for recieveing blankets, or is this like clothes and I will get plenty anyway?
Sheets? 4 enough for crib and 2 for play yard?
I am having a hard time picking out a bouncer, is there one in particular that you would recommend ?
And last but not least.... Besides the usual, is there any one item that you would be lost without.
I realize that you have heard all these questions 9999934343 times and I appreciate everyone taking time out to help a LOST soon to be multiple momma

In the beginning when they are pretty much eating every 3 hours I would say about 15-20 bottles would get you through a 24 hr. period. 24 hr. divided by eating every 3 hours is 8 bottles a day for one baby and then times that by 2 is 16. Once they're taking more ounces they'll be less feedings so you won't need as many of the bigger bottles.
Onesies I cant really help you with b/c my kids would literally sweat their arses off if they had on a onesie under their outfits so they never wore them. Even now they cant wear fleece outfits b/c it keeps them too warm. So sorry but Im no help here.
Pacifiers- something else my kids weren't really into using but I would say probably about 10. A couple in their room, a couple maybe for the living room or where you'll spend a majority of time with them and some to keep in your diaper bag.
I wouldn't register for blankets. I think they're like clothes; people will grab a pack just to add on to their gift. I got soooo many that I haven't even opened all of the packs up.
Sheets- 4 for teh crib and 2 for the playard should be fine. But I do recommend getting the sheet savers. They tie right to the bars on the sides of the crib and are sooooo much easier to take on and off. I hate changing the sheets on the cribs so these are life savers for me. Even now I still use them at 7 months I just have 2 in each crib so that they lay completely on the sheet savers still.
I have the Laugh and Learn Jumperoo from FP. My babies love it. And FP has a few different themes to pick from too.
I would say that I would have been lost without my boppy's. They are great when both babies need to eat at the same time and you're the only there. And in the beginning when you dont want to put them flat on the ground for tummy time it acts as a nice prop for them.
Good luck!!

Re: Registry Question
I can't help you with the bottles because I am bfing so I don't have that many...but I agreee with the pp that enough to get you through one day is probably good so you don't have to wash them if you dont have time. Also I would register for maybe 2 different types...try one and see if they like it..if they do then return the others but if not move on and try the second type. This way you have them.
Onsies- I can't remember exactly..I think I had maybe 2 packages of each size for the winter? I do wash every other day so I don't need alot. I have thrown a couple out here and there with some major poop explosions
I registered for a boy and girl 4 pack of receiving blankets and I use them all of the time. Those are the only receiving blankets I got. I got alot of regular blankets though
I got the cheaper/lighter/not so fancy bouncers. I think fisher price vibrations or something like that. I figured the less bulky the better because we move them all of the house. I actually just bought a 3rd because we use them so much and I was constantly moving them to the different floors of the house
pacifiers i registered for a couple of 2 different kinds and havent used any because we are using the soothies from the hospital.
as far as any other tips..definitely 2 boppies, can't live without them. and lots of bibs and burp cloths. My kids spit up alot and we go through a ton of bibs...maybe like 15 to 20 a day sometimes.
good luck and have fun!

Re: Registry Question
How many bottles should we register for?
I used the playtex drop-ins. I had about 12 of the small and 12 of the big. I would wash them once during the day b/c i had no place to store all those dirty bottles so it didn't matter! that was enough for me, but i know some people like having enough for a full 24 hr period. if you get a lot of bottles i wouldn't open all of them until you know the babies do ok with them....some babies need different bottles.
How many onsies? All sizes I always put onesies on my kids. Carters are the best, the gerber ones are thin and shrink. In the beginning they would each go through at least 2 a day. I would say get at least 2 packs of the NB (side snaps), regular NB, 3mths etc.
How many Pacifiers? My kids both use the hospital soothie ones. I have about 20 of them around here!! LOL But again....not all kids like the same one so you might have to see what they like.
Should I register for recieveing blankets, or is this like clothes and I will get plenty anyway? I only registered for 1 set (pink/blue) receiving blankets. I got A TON of blankets, clothes, bibs etc. People were very generous and I didn't need more.
Sheets? 4 enough for crib and 2 for play yard? Yeah that sounds fine. when they are little i feel like you do laundry every other day or so anyway.
And last but not least.... Besides the usual, is there any one item that you would be lost without.
I LOVED the fisher price take along swing. Both babies loved it and i could easily fold it and take it out with us.
Good luck an congrats!!!!

Re: Registry Question
How many bottles should we register for? I registered for about 12 playtex bottles and DS ended up needing Dr. Brown's so when all was said and done...DD used playtex (4-5/day) and DS used Dr. Brown's...I bought 4 of them so I washed as needed. I couldn't stand all the clutter of lots of bottles around.
How many onsies? I registered for 3 packs of each size.
How many Pacifiers? 8-10 since they always seems to get lost
Should I register for recieveing blankets, or is this like clothes and I will get plenty anyway? I would register for 2 packs each, we ended up not using a ton of those.
Sheets? 4 enough for crib and 2 for play yard? Thats good!
I am having a hard time picking out a bouncer, is there one in particular that you would recommend ? I used the Bright Starts bouncers and got one for each of them and 1 Boppy travel swing. It was nice to have places to put them at the same time.
And last but not least.... Besides the usual, is there any one item that you would be lost without. My boppys..they were key in the beginning and the boucer seats!!

Re: Registry Question
How many bottles should we register for? I registered for Dr. Browns bottles both the 4oz and 8oz. I have about 20 of the 4oz and I have about 12 of the 8oz. I still use the 4oz bottles in my diaper bag because they take up less room. Def have enough bottles to last an entire day without washing! My two boys were colic and had reflux so I literally had NO time to do anything during the day (or night for that matter.)
How many onsies? I had about 10 in NB and 10 in 0-3. I prob could have used more being that mine were pukers and had to be changed a billion times a day.
How many Pacifiers? I registered for 4 but you will get them at the hospital prob as well.
Should I register for recieveing blankets, or is this like clothes and I will get plenty anyway? I would register for a few espeically if you plan on swaddling them. I know most people use the swaddle me's with the velcro but mine hated them and prefered the regular blanket swaddle.
Sheets? 4 enough for crib and 2 for play yard? Yep...I think thats perfect.
I am having a hard time picking out a bouncer, is there one in particular that you would recommend ? We used bright stars bouncers but my boys didnt like the bouncers at all. They prefered the swing.
And last but not least.... Besides the usual, is there any one item that you would be lost without. TWO BOPPY PILLOWS. They were such a savior when I was alone especially during feeding time. I still use them when they are sitting on the floor playing just in case they fall over.
