My sister's BF's brother died last night..
I don't even know where to post this or why I'm posting.
He was 20 years old. My sister and her BF go away to school in MA..he lives about an hour away from their school. Apparently his brother suffered from severe anxiety..had an attack yesterday and called his parents that he was freaking out..they tried to calm him down and told him to come home so they could help..he never came home. They got the call hours later that he fell in front of a train..the detectives don't think it was intentional.
Her BF is in denial. Says he has to go to class bc they are graduating in a few weeks and maybe he'll go home over the weekend. My sister is distraught, doesn't know how to help him.
I'm sitting at my desk crying bc although I didn't know him, he was so young and I feel for my sister and her BF and his whole family. I can't imagine getting that call...
I just don't know what to do..they are 2.5 hours away and I can't be there for my sister, she's my best friend. And her poor bf.

that is awful.
I know she's a 5 hour round trip but would you consider driving up there for the day?

Just tell your sister the same thing. Tell her you love her and if she wants to talk you are there for her.

I really really want to ...but she's most likely going to be driving her BF home today/tomorrow and may stay with him at his house for the funeral. I know DH would do it with me in a hearrtbeat..we've done it before.
I think we'll go up this weekend, if not sooner, depending on her plans.
