chocolate and dogs?
ugh, my 20lb dog ate 4 vials of mini M&Ms my fault, I left them in a bag on the living room floor
of course she is puking her brains out (which is good i guess) but what do we need to look for? its milk chocolate which isnt as bad as dark, right?

Re: chocolate and dogs?
she threw up 3 times, large amounts. she is drinking quite a bit of water and seems ok.
no vomit since 6pm ish
ETA i should add that i did speak with my sister who is a vet tech. she said no food tonight, keep giving her water and watch her for labored breathing or acting funny

Re: chocolate and dogs?
I hope your dog is feeling better. You might want to consider giving her rice and boiled chicken tomorrow. It will be easier on her stomach then dog food.

Re: chocolate and dogs?
I would call an emergency vet for guidance. Dogs and choc, esp that much, is no joke. They can get acute pancreatitis which can be fatal.

Re: chocolate and dogs?
Milk chocolate isnt' as bad. My 50lb dog ate a 1lb chocolate bunny and other than some stomach troubles, he was totally fine. Just needed lots of water.
