Failed the one hour
Is this common for mommies to be of multiples? I know that I didn't have to fast but I did anyway and I failed. Normal levels are supposed to be 130 or below and mine was 162! I'm freaking out that I won't pass the 3 hour test!!

Re: Failed the one hour
I failed the 1 hr test also and I know many Moms of multiples that also have. I did pass the 3 hr but I had to take it twice...Once at 16 weeks and then again at 30 weeks...I hated it!!!!

Re: Failed the one hour
I passed mine by a hair but most of the multiple mommies I know failed. Good luck on the 3 hr!

Re: Failed the one hour
My dr. warnerd me before I took it that a lot of multiple mommies fail it. And sure enough I did. And with the 3 hour I literally passed by 1 point in the last hour.

Re: Failed the one hour
Apparently it is very common for moms of multiples to fail the 1 hour. I failed it by just a few points but went on to pass the 3 hour with no problems at all.

Re: Failed the one hour
My OB and endocrinologist told me it is very common for moms of multiples to develop GD (because of having two placentas or one placenta that is working double-time). But, remember, just because you failed your 1 hour, does not necessarily mean you have it. The 3 hour is a pain, but there is a chance you will pass it. I did not pass! I was so upset, but after seeing my endocrinologist, I felt much better. So far (I'm 36w3d), my GD is controlled through diet. I test my blood sugar four times a day and watch what I eat. Hopefully, you will pass the 3 hour, but remember, if you don't it can be handled well!

Re: Failed the one hour
I failed the 1 hour too (I'm preg with identical ) I was real upset about it and worried. Took the 3 hour and passed with flying colors. I know quite a few women who failed 1 hour but passed 3 hour so try not to worry!
Hope everything goes well with you.

Re: Failed the one hour
Thank you all for your responses! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I passed the 3 hour but if I didn't, I know it can be controlled by diet. I took the test yesterday morning...I don't think I have any veins left in my right arm!! I'll keep you all posted!
