another shower??
apparently my family is throwing me a shower for my third pregnancy...i have 2 girls (4 and almost3) and this time its a boy!! my husband slipped and told me what they are planning...their intentions are sweet but opoinions about this are appreciated....

While I think their intentions are golden, I am not a fan of showers if you've already had one.

Life should be a party! Go for it and celebrate without any qualms. If someone doesn't want to come because "you've had one already", then they'll miss out on a great time!
Someone on here once said that every life should be celebrated, so enjoy your shower... especially that it's a BOY this time around!
Don't worry about what anyone else says and enjoy your day! And this time you'll have your little girls to help you open gifts!

i think it's fine! it's not like you are planning it for yourself. If you are concerned, just tell DH to tell them to keep it really small and intimate.

I agree, if they WANT to throw it for you why not? I know people who oppose them and to that I say, well then don't go!

I most def. say go for it!!! My sis has 3 children, 2 boys then a girl. I had a shower at a restaurant for the first (50ppl), sprinkle for the second boy, small luncheon (15ppl) and a home shower for the girl (50ppl). I just could not let each child be born without being recognized. The first is no more important than the rest. And its not about the gifts. Its about getting together to celebrate the birth of a new family member. As someone said above if they have a problem with it athen dont come.

I'm dealing with this as well (2 boys - 6&4 with a girl coming)
MIL mentioned something and I said, no way would my mother go for it. I told my mother and she said, well actually I was thinking about having something small! 
I do think it's great to get together with my family, so that part would be fun, but I'm feeling uneasy about it.

Thanks everyone!! I actually told one of my co-workers/freinds and she was so excited and happy and like most of you said I didn't plan it just found out about it!!!

Hey i say enjoy it. If people dont think its right they dont have to come. But im sure most people love to celebrate these things with those they love. Especially when you have all girls & now its a boy. SO YAY & ENJOY

i agree...however maybe its because you are having a boy? and maybe its a small scale shower? like a sprinkle? i know we did a small luncheon for my SIL when she had her twin boys after her daughter just to get her a few boy things
