So we took down the baby swing yesterday and I'm so sad about it!

DS will be 10 months on Monday and I've recently started to plan his 1st birthday...It's just going so fast! He used to live in that swing, when he was a newborn he only wanted to sleep in it, now he's too big for it. I find myself having moments like this a lot lately. DH and I were talking about it last night and he said he has been having moments like that too lately. Then we had to laugh because he is only 10 months, what are we going to do when he starts school, graduates or gets married! Chat Icon

I'm the same way with "end of an era" type things... I get so worked up about it... when DD got her first tooth last week I whined to DH.. NO MORE GUMMY SMILES Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

He looked at me like I had ten heads...I think it's good, it helps us appreciate the little things

I was so sad when we put the swing away too.......I get super emotional over these things. Now that he is 20 months old, he is becoming more and more independant and I'm like "he doesn't need me for that anymore".......it's mixed emotions, I'm happy but sad at the same time.

I can totally relate. I felt that way with my first and am going through it again with my second. Time is fleeting and these moments go by so fast. However, just think of all of the new things that will be in store for you! It gets better and better every day.Chat Icon

I cried when we put my DD in the crib from the bassinet for the first time. And not just a tear, full out boo hoo-ed for so long!! And I get sad everytime I have to put clothes away. I dont know what I'm going to do when the major milestones come either!!
