Re: are mobiles worth it?

the one I got with his bedding set went in the trash but the Tiny Love Mobile was the best.thing.ever.

ETA- It's still in his crib and he now turns it on himself for entertainment when mommy isn't ready to get up. He'll even turn it on at night, and falls asleep to it.

Re: are mobiles worth it?

I found the crib soothers to be more useful. We actually used the mobile on the changing table so for us it worked there to distract DD for the minute it took to change her diaper.

Glad I'm not the only one- she stands up, turns it on in the morning, it's hilarious.
I'm shocked she hasn't broken it yet though- she tends to pull on the things as they go by! Chat Icon

The ones that come with the bedding I don't think are worth it. I have the Precious planet projection mobile and DS loved it. I had to take the mobile part out a few months ago because he was standing and pulling it. I still have the projector in his crib and he loves to watch it at night. Plays music also.

Same here. DS is almost 19 months and turns it on himself now. He loves it.

i returneed the one i got from the bedding because it didnt fit the crib properly.

i ended up getting on by fisher price thats a mobile and projects a scene to the mobile part once your child gets older you remove the mobile part and just use the projectile protion.

i am pretty sure the tiny mobile ones are like this too.

this! I still use it everynight for music and the scene on the walls. I just removed the mobile part and now she starts it whenever she wants

Re: are mobiles worth it?

We had the Tiny Love one--my older DS LOVED it! My younger one, not so much, but he also had reflux and didn't spend a ton of time laying in his crib while awake anyways.

Re: are mobiles worth it?

Yes I'd say so...my DS loved his little mobile on his bassinet for the first 2 months that he was in it! The mobile was one of the first things he focussed on...After being moved to the crib, he also loves his mobile, not so much as when he was first born though

Both DD's love the mobile. DD #1 had it in her crib until we put a crib tent on at abotu 19 months, but we still kept the music part on. And DD #2 is 14 months and still has it. They both turned it on when they wanted music.

Yes but not the ones that go with the bedding sets IMO. My kids were obsessed with the Tiny Love mobiles and it would keep them entertained every day so I could shower, or eat lunch quickly, etc. while they were small.

ITA! The ones that come with the bedding are a waste, they are boring. Get a tiny love one, all three of my kids have loved them.

Yep, ITA with this as well.

Agreed. DS loves his Tiny Love mobile as well.

Love the Tiny Love mobile, but make sure it fits the slats of your crib!

This is the one we have- DS LOVES it! In the beginning I would turn it on during nursing sessions to have some light in the room and so the music would keep him awake long enough to finish a feeding.

Now he's 1 year and when I put him to bed he turns on the mobile and plays with the lights that come out. It also keeps him entertained in the mornings if I'm busy and not ready to pick him up yet.

Yep we had to rig ours up - it wouldn't fit over the top rail- our rail was way too wide and chunky

Re: are mobiles worth it?

Im in the minority but my DD NEVER looked at it. Its just there for decoration (for now). Maybe cause its the one tha came with the bedding? I dont know... but for us it wasnt worth it.

YESSS. My DS is 8.5 months old and loooves his Tiny Love mobile. He talks to it and giggles when he sees it. And in the middle of the night it calms him down if he wakes up and I put it on--it helps him fall back asleep.

I don't have a mobile but dd has the luv u zoo projector and she loves it! It displays adorable images of baby animals on the ceiling and plays music, it also has a mirror for them to look at themselves in. Just another option.

This one is awesome!! My 23 month old still has it in her crib as a projector on the ceiling and for music. So worth the money and you get alot of use out of it. We we had DD #2 we had to buy a 2nd one since my DD still liked hers.
