Re: Where to stay in OBX
We stayed a few times in a town called Corolla, specifically the Currituck Club. It is a gated community with a clubhouse (weightroom, pool, tennis courts, etc.) We used Village Realty everytime we stayed in OBX and never had any problems. www.villagerealtyobx.com

Re: Where to stay in OBX
My parents have a vacation house on hatteras island. It's so great down there!! But, hatteras island is a national seashore, so a lot of it is preserved. While there's stuff to do ( mini golf restaurants boat rentals) it's more just a hang out on the beach type place. With kids, you'll probably want a little bit more to do... So maybe try to stay in the more northern beaches, like nags head, duck, kitty hawk, manteo... Let me know if you have any questions!!

Re: Where to stay in OBX
We just got back from Duckk and it was great. there was the beach and the downtown is cute... bike and walking paths and great shopping as well as restaurants. also not far from the main drag of the northern outer banks where you would find more restaurants, mini-golf, arts n craft places for the kids, etc.
