Pediatrician in Long Beach?
Looking for recs - want to have one in case we need it this summer with Jordan. Has anyone heard of Dr. Matthew Cohen? He is literally around the block from our house in LB.
Thanks for any recs!

I've heard mixed reviews.. He is a young doctor so alot of people like that their babies can grow with him. However he is not a parent which is why we chose not to use him. I want my pediatrician to not only have medical knowledge but also real like experience. That's just my opinion though.
ETA: We use Beach Pediatrics in Island Park, right down the block from Pop's and love them. There are 4 doctors in the practice. All women. Even though DS is only 7 weeks we have been there several times already and they have been so accommodating and great.

Dr. Forgione, Dr. Peloso and Dr. Fusco
LOVE THEM!
I was sad to leave them when we moved. WE did find great Peds when we moved to NJ (by accident b/c he got sick shortly after we moved)
Funny thing is one of the Docs in the practice did his internship with them at LIJ.

Thanks, ladies for your recs and kiwi, for your input on Dr. Cohen. I understand what you're saying about not being a parent. I would definitely not be looking to do his 18 month visit with anyone but his regular doctor, so this would be more so if we needed someone because he's sick. I like that Dr. Cohen is around the block but I will check out Beach Peds and some of the others - thanks again!

Also check out Dr. Lanzone. She is on the southeast corner of National. I was recommended to her and she is great.

She was one of my peds growing up - not so much a fan but I know she has a ton of experience!

Dr. Cohen is awesome, his practice is very clean, he is very knowledgeable, his staff is friendly and my kids love him. Highly recommend him.
