ok freaking out a lil bit....

So I had a scary couple of weeks..when I first went to my OBGYN - I thought I was 6 weeks pregnant..but the dr said that it didnt look like a 6 week pregnancy .. so he was hoping for my cycles to be off BIG time...and I had to go back every week to see if my blood levels were increasing...etc...bec the dates and the size were not matching up.

well my last apt this past thurs (where my LMP said I should be almost 10) the dr determned that I was more like 7 weeks..but he was more confident that it was a viable pregnacy bec he/we saw a strong heartbeat so I finally had some sigh of relief...I guess my cycles and ovulation dates are just REALLY messed up!

now if I can make it through the first trimester I will feel a WHOLE lot better!!!

BUT.....to add to my stress:

the very first apt - he felt something in my left breast...and wanted me to get it checked out and get an ultrasound at a specialist..but wait to see if it was a viable pregnancy first bec it is prob just pregancy hormones...

well after 3 weeks and happy news about the baby, I forgot to ask him if I should still go...I kind of just assumed it really just was preg hormones,...

so I call today to ask...and he wants me to still go for the breast ultrasound AS WELL as see a breast specialist..

When I called the center to do the breast ultrasound...they want to fit me in tomorrow and dont want to wait...

I would have just brushed it off as my milk ducts forming...

but now I am all worried...I have the ultra sound tomorow and an apt to see a breast specialist to dsicuss results in 2 weeks...

please let me know if anyone went through this...I would love to not be stressed esp during my 1st trimester...

i have/had a fibroid in my left breast - got the same breast exam and everything. it's just a fibroid and I opted not to do anything with it. I'm sure you are okay; they can be somewhat common and hormones from pregnancy are likely the cause if your gyn never felt it before

I found a lump in my right breast a month before I got pregnant. We've just been tracking its size. At first it actually hurt when you pressed where it was, which my GP had said is a good sign. It shrunk from pencil eraser size to pencil tip size over the past year (through the pregnancy and now after). It's still there, but no one seems concerned about it.

Better safe than sorry, of course. When I found it, it was CD36-37 that month... I conceived around CD46. So I was also always "behind" in my pregnancy (we based my EDD on the measurements at my first sono, not my LMP, and DD was born exactly one day early based on that). So it could all be wrapped up and related.

Don't worry -- worrying is just a misuse of imagination. You'll go, get it checked, and take it from there. Hugs!!! & congrats on your pregnancy!

I have a friend that gets breast fibroids from caffeine, lots of it's nothing serious.
