Running out of excuses!
DH and I have been very busy lately with a lot of family parties. I am only 7 weeks pregnant and we dont want to say anything yet to anyone. I am running out of excuses to not have a glass of wine or a mixed drink. Help! theres only so many headaches I can have before people start to catch on! LOL

i held a glass of wine and took fake "sips" periodically when i KNEW people would be looking. then i'd dump a little out in the bathroom or dh would take a gulp.

i did that with a beer bottle, and told DH to accidentally drink from the wrong bottle occasionally, to make it look like the bottle wasnt full

This has been the toughest thing for me! I told one group of friends that i was on medication and one of the girls asked me if I was preggo, I was 6w at the time and had to lie and say no bc I wasnt ready to tell (totally rude to ask anyway!) With other friends that have noticed and questioned I have said that we are "trying" and so I have been laynig off the alcohol.

This is what I was gonna say! Hold a drink, and put it up to your lips to look you're sipping, and then dump when no one's looking.

Did the same thing. Either that or I quickly handed it to DH when no one saw and he drank it. We'd put our glasses next to each other so he drank from both
Hey, I was the designated driver anyway. LOL
With friends at a wedding I remember I had DH order me a Sprite with a splash of Cranberry and a lemon. Everyone knows I love Kettle One and Cran so that worked too.
No one suspected anything. Only a few more weeks. You can do it!

One time I went to a bar and I ordered a beer....went to the bathroom and dumped it and filled it up with water and sipped on that all night!!!

I dont drink anyway but years ago I got tired of people asking me why all the time.
So I started to drink club soda with a splash of cranberry juice and a lime. This way everyone thinks its a drink and no one but my DH knows the truth.
