Got my genetic testing results
It was an unbalanced chromosomal translocation. I have a balanced translocation, so we knew there was a chance of this. On one hand, I'm glad that we now know that this is probably the primary cause of my problems. We had been treating PCOS as the main cause, b/c my sister also had the balanced translocation and had no problems conceiving her two boys. On the other hand, this is the one thing that we can't address with meds. It's just a matter of getting a good embryo.
I have a consult scheduled to discuss IVF with Dr. B on June 11th. Until then, I'm taking a break!
Oh, and I did not plan on finding out the gender, but my doctor gave me a copy of the report, so I read that it was a girl.

Please understand that the genetic report on the sex not always the case.
They can't always tell if the cells were from you or the baby.
That's what Dr. B told me.

I have a balanced recip. trans also. I never knew how common this was. I had 2 MC. Right now I am just shy of 7 weeks pregnant. We were supposed to start IVF next month and get testing done on all embryos. Somehow got pregnant on out own. We are hoping that this is good one and that it sticks. The genetic counselor said theres still a chance of miscarriage. I just have to pray that all is good. I will have a CVS done in a few weeks to check on everything. Good luck to you in the future.
