Suffolk OB Patients that found out sex of Baby
I was just wondering how you know the sex by looking at the sono picture.
I am only asking because with my first we did not find out the sex and all pics had a "u" next to my name for unknown. I am now 36 weeks and we told them we were not finding out and all pics had a "u".
I just got a sono and reminded the tech and when i got home i noticed there was an "f" next to my name. Does that mean its a girl?

Re: Suffolk OB Patients that found out sex of BTB
Im having a girl, but I just went and looked at all my sonos from the beginning...(I had a few in the very beginning), and those have an F next to my name...WAY to early to tell...my 20 week sono when we found out the sex has a U next to my name, so I would say the letters mean something else!

Re: Suffolk OB Patients that found out sex of Baby
I don't know for sure, by my guess would be that it has nothing to do with gender. I just don't think it's something they would track like that seeing as how it's not a vital stat like length, HR, etc...
If your doctor doesnt actually do the u/s, and it's done by a lab tech, she probably really doesnt know what you are talking about.

Re: Suffolk OB Patients that found out sex of Baby
We are team green. Dr. Petraco told me that if you do not want to know the gender, the sono tech does not write in on the chart and does not take pics that could reveal the gender. (he actually showed me the chart for this baby and my dd since we were team green for both)
He said if anyone refers to the baby as he/she it is just a reference as the chart, sonos, etc. have no indication of the sex. He told me we will all find out in october, my EDD
