Has anyone taken Celexa?
Just wondering if any of you are taking or have taken Celexa. I started it this past week and had to stop--I was getting dizzy and lightheaded. I hear it's a pretty common symptom.
Wondering if any of you had experience. You can FM instead, if you want. Thanks

Re: Has anyone taken Celexa?
I haven't but I have taken others and currently take Cymbalta. Unfortunately with most medications, especially antidepressants you have to be patient and let the site effects level off. Of course if it's debilitating then you can try something else but you might have the same problem again. Sometimes it's just a matter of waiting it out.

Re: Has anyone taken Celexa?
I took Celexa and can't remember the initial starting symptoms...I am sure it was dizzy and lightheadness.. But I have been off of it for a few years, and I swear it is still in my system.... Not as much as use to - but I really think it lingered for at least a year or 2 afterwards...Call me crazy, but I think it was.

Re: Has anyone taken Celexa?
Thanks so much to both of you for the replies I don't know how comfortable I feel taking a medication that's messing with me enough to make me dizzy. For now, I've stopped taking it, until I can talk to my Dr. about it.
Thanks again

Re: Has anyone taken Celexa?
I took lexapro for a few years which is a drug that is in the same family as celexa. I had some mild side effects at the beginning like light-headedness and nausea. They only lasted a week or 2 and then i was fine. Lexapro helped me through a really difficult time. I am no longer using it but i would recommend it if you need to be on a medication like it. good luck!
