Chemical pg- help -- Update

Hi everyone. After getting several BFPs in the past few days (from 10 dpo on) and being so thrilled (and telling way too many people I am pg), my tests have been getting progressively lighter. I had a positive digital on 11 dpo. I tested with FMU this morning at 14 dpo, and they are still lighter and the digital said "Not Preg" Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I guess I'm just looking for confirmation of what seems pretty obvious- am I having a chemical? I already set up an OB appointment, do I just wait for AF and cancel the appointment? Do I need blood work?

Oh, I'm so devastated. I had no idea just how horrifying m/c is, I'm so sorry for what everyone on this board has gone through. Chat Icon I know some of you have had much more devastating loses, but I hope I am welcome here because I really think I'm going to need some support. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Update: I finally got my blood test results from yesterday and my beta is a 12. My doctor is now saying he's not sure what's going on (as if they could be going up? huh? I'm 16 dpo) and I need to have a repeat beta on Friday and exam on Tuesday. I just know they are going down and it's just taking it's time getting back to zero, but now I feel confused.

I really just want this to be over already so we can start trying again. Still no AF or even any spotting or cramping. Any advice on how long this could take? I'm so nervous for this AF. Chat Icon

i'm so sorry this is happening to you Chat Icon Chat Icon you should call your dr. first thing tomorrow and schedule bloodwork.....tell them what's going on. they will look at your beta #'s and see if they are increasing or decreasing. if you are having a chemical then they will test you to be sure your numbers go back to zero. i had a chemical last november and it was horrible so i understand how you feel (and sadly so will many many other girls here). the girls on this board are amazing so you will get tons of support here. lots of hugs to you Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I didn't have a chemical, but would def go to the doctor so they can take some blood and see what's going on.

Re: Chemical pg- help

Sounds like a chemical Chat Icon
I would definitely get to your ob/gyn so they can draw blood and check your hormone levels. Any information related to your pregnancies is important and vital for putting the pieces together to see what went wrong and what can be prevented in the future.

Hang in there.

Thanks. I have an appointment with the doctor this afternoon. I'll update later, but I have a bad feeling about it.

I do feel so helpless, this is just awful.

Re: Chemical pg- help

so sorry for your loss Chat Icon Chat Icon

i just went through this 2 weeks ago, almost sam exact scenario. except i went to my reg dr for a blood test at 13dpo and it came back a 3, so it was def going to be a chemical pregnancy, i got my period that night. you will get through this and although very hard, you will be on your way to a BFP in no time. i was upset for about a week, then i started temping again and i am already 3dpo on my next cycle.

again so sorry for your loss Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

FM me if you have ANY questions.
