If you put your 2 yr old in school, where?

My DS will be 2 in Oct and I'd like to put hiim into some type of school program in Sept. Maybe 2 -3 times per week, couple of hours tops. Just to have him be around a consistent group of kids, play, learn. Can be a mommy and me type of class.

Any recs? I'm south shore nassau (Baldwin).

I don't have recs for Nassau but I send my DD (she turned 2 in October) to the South Shore Children's Learning Center in West Islip. She goes 2 times per week and loves it! Good luck with your search!

DD goes to the jcc in merrick. I know Oceanside JCC has a program too!

DS will be going to a private school this fall that has a "toddler program" its only 2 hrs/day but its a drop off program that's very school orientated. Chk your local schools to see what's available,,,I'm not sure about Nassau since I'm in Suffolk.

Riley will be starting in September 2 days a weeks for 2.5 hours in Suffolk

I sent DD to Grace Day in Massapequa and really liked it. Other schools that had 2 year programs were:

Wee Friends (Wantagh)
Toddler Time (Seaford)
Wind N Willow (N. Massapequa)
Our Redeemer (Seaford)
Tutor Time (Massapequa)

The South Baldwin Jewish Center on Grand Ave. (just south of Atlantic Avenue) has a great nursery school program for 2-year-olds. Very highly recommended.

Pixie in Wantagh has a 2yo program. We put Kaydyn in there this past Sept and she really liked it (she was 32 months though)

Big Chief in East Meadow, my 2yr.old son is starting there in July for the camp program.

Dd #1 went to tiny tots at the little gym in merrick. It was 3 days a week for 2.5 hours a day. We loved it.

DD will be 2 next month and is starting at Anne Browers nursery school in Huntington in September. Tues/Thurs 9-11:30

At 2 AJ went into full time Montessori school. Before that it was full time daycare. "School" is 8:30am - 2:45pm, five days a week.

Check out St. Anthonys in Oceanside, I sent DD1 there for the 3 and 4 year old program and just signed up our second DD for their 3 year old program next year. They have a 2 year old program, the transition program, which friends have used and rave about. I love all the teachers, the school, everything about it. VERY happy with them.
