It's official - I'm a repeat offender
My sonogram this afternoon confirmed that this is not a viable pregnancy. I knew it wouldn't be. No idea what the next step is. My dr is refusing to do a D&C so I guess I'll be getting the pills that cause a miscarriage. Anyone ever take those? I'm a little nervous about it.

Where do you live? My doctor said that those pills are not available in our area (long island) and he wouldn't allow his patients to take them because it is an uncontrolled bleed. He said a D&C is safer because it is more controlled. It also gives you closure because there is no waiting and guessing when the miscarriage will happen.
If you want to have a d&c and your doctor is refusing your wishes I would think about getting a new doctor.
I am so sorry for your loss.

I took Cytotec. It didn't really work for me (But I had a crazy miscarriage)
It made me super gassy and I had horrible diarrea. It actually stopped my bleeding.
I def. don't think I'm the norm for it though.
Good luck!

I live on LI. I had a D&C with my last miscarriage and I had a lot of complications after which is why she's refusing to do the D&C. I'm not sure that I want to go through that again either but the pills scare me. I bled so much at my D&C that she had to cauterize my cervix so I'm a little nervous to use the pills at home. I'm not sure what other solutions there are.

I wonder why my doctor said the pills weren't available-maybe its bc he doesn't want to use them. Interesting! I am so sorry you are going through this, to have to make these decisions just plain stinks. I hope you find some peace in all of this.
