lose weight & get thin & THEN tone? or do in conjunction?
is one more a priority to be accomplished first by you than the other?
or do you do them in conjunction?
I've always thought to lose weight first and then focused on toning, but I know some people do it the other way around, or some people even do both at the same time.

Lose weight and tone at the same time. Building lean muscle will help you to increase your metabolism. Lean muscle requires more energy then fat aiding in weight loss.

def do it at the same time
I lost weight and didn't really work out...and was left with a flabby mess
I've been working out pretty consistently for almost a year and I'm still FAR from where I want to be...
Thank goodness for clothes

I was never happy with how I looked when I lost weight solely. and people used to always tell me, you need to lose the weight first then build muscle. do cardio not strength training. I wish I never listened to those people, I would have had a much nicer body the past 10 years. Now I am mixing it up and focusing on toning and losing weight together. it is slow but successful.

I lost about 20 before I started lifting weights. I have noticed a difference though, when I do weights first, then cardio. I'm starting to see muscle definition and it's really rewarding to see that when it's no longer buried under flab.
