Eisenberg Pediatrics
Hi ladies! I’m 28 weeks pregnant and getting ready to start setting up interviews for pediatricians. The first on my list is Eisenberg Pediatrics in Sayville. I’d love to hear feedback from the BTDT moms who have experience with this practice.
TIA!!

Re: Eisenberg Pediatrics
We wnt there. We also left there. The NP is great. I wasnt crazy about Eisenberg himself. I left because the last straw was a charge for a visit we never had. When I called they said I never cancelled, why would I cancel an appt I didnt have? We switched and have been happier since.

Re: Eisenberg Pediatrics
I do not use them but my cousin and my friend do. They love the dr. but feel it is hard to get an appointment. I was considering using them but getting an appointment quickly and easily is one of my top priorities for a dr's office. I chose dr constantatos in west babylon. He is a solo practitioner and the office staff is great.

Re: Eisenberg Pediatrics
I had a similar problem that jennZ had. Also I am not a fan of small offices. I always had to wait more than I felt I should in the waiting room. He is extremely thorough which has it's pros and cons. I left. He is a great dr, but his office wasn't for me- so that was my deal breaker.

Re: Eisenberg Pediatrics
We use Dr. Eisenberg and so far we havent had any issues. Sometimes there is a wait, but he is so thorough and patient with all of my crazy questions that I deal with it. I've never had an issue getting an appointment if DD was sick. I love the NP but can't stand the new Dr they brought in. For well visits I make sure she has an appointment with either the NP or Dr. E. I missed an appointment that I actually did make and never received a bill for it (it was completely my fault & I forgot to cancel). My only issue that I can see in the future is whether or not DD will always be comfortable seeing a male doctor.

Re: Eisenberg Pediatrics
LOVE him! He is my favorite in the practice. He is very calm, laid back, yet thourough. I find him comforting and a very very nice man.
I also like Dr Patel- though she is a bit more paranoid about every little thing. But I guess that's good in a way too.
I have also seen the NP, Nicole, a few times. She is very nice as well. But she is having a baby soon I think so she will probably be gone for a while.
I never had a problem getting an appt there or a call back when I have a question.
I really like the practice so far.

Re: Eisenberg Pediatrics
I have used Dr. Eisenberg since Aug 2007 and I left my first ped to go to him. I am very happy with him. He is extremely thorough and really takes his time. I have never had an issue getting an appointment or waiting too long. I will say that I was not thrilled with the rotation of nurses that he has had. My kids would just get used to one, and then another nurse would be hired. Not a big deal, my kids ultimately go with the flow. I like a single practitioner because he always knows my kids and is familiar with their medical history for the most part. The coverage that he uses leaves MUCH to be desired. I had a BAD experience with Dr. Constant and will use PM pediatrics before her. I like the NP Nicole. She is good with the kids. I only met Dr. Patel twice and dont really love her. I have really strong first impressions of people and I feel like she missed my son's ear infection (went on a sat and she checked his ears - said nothing) and fever started that night with infection?! Something about her is bothering me, haven't figured it out yet. Hope that helps

Re: Eisenberg Pediatrics
My good friend used to go there & left, her son had something wrong w/ him & kept going back again & again... he never figured out what the problem was, she switched to Dr. Kalansky down the road a bit and she figured it out within a few minutes of seeing him! i forget what the exact problem was, but something minor. She loved Dr Kalansky so much so thats who we use now. She is awesome.

Re: Eisenberg Pediatrics
My daughter is 2 and I have been going to Dr. Eisenberg since she was born. I really love the office and love that it is a small office. He knows my daughter's name and knows her personality--this has meant a lot to me. I don't want to go to a large practice and be seen by 5 different doctors.
When she was colicky and had a milk protein allergy as an infant--Dr. Eisenberg took my concerns seriously and never made me feel that it was just me over reacting when other professionals made me feel that way.
He really takes the time during your visit to ask questions and go over your concerns.
Nicole the NP is great. I don't love Dr. Patel so I make most of my appointments with Dr. Eisenberg. I never have trouble getting appointments.
I highly recommend him and the practice.

Re: Eisenberg Pediatrics
I've been using Dr. E since DD#1 was born Oct 2008. I find that he is extremely thorough and really takes time with his patients. Dr. Patel saw DD#2 once and since DD was screaming bloody murder the entire time, I'm not sure what I think of her as of yet. The NP, Nicole is very good too. Amanda, one of the clinical assts is my fave! I definitely recommend the practice to friends and have never had an issue with getting a well or sick visit appt when I needed one.

Re: Eisenberg Pediatrics
I have also been going to this practice since DC s born - he is 2.5. I absolutely love Dr. E. I agree w. many of the PPs, and find him thorough, patient and takes his time. He tends to be a bit of an alarmist, but that's what I personally like about him. I completely trust his judgement.
I don't love the new dr, Dr. Patel. The language barrier is a bit of an issue, but I just don't find her to be as reassuring as him. We try to schedule around her.
We have waited handful of times, but overall I think the wait is very tolerable.
GL!
ETA: We are W.Sayville residents, so I love that the office is so close, esp when DS was an infant. He also did rounds at Good Sam where DS was born, so he has been with us since the very start.
