Pain in the asss.....

literally

So I have heard preggos complain of lower back pain...I have pain in my right butt cheek

I did not do anything that I can think of to injure it...has this happened to anyone else??? TY

is that sciatica maybe? sounds like it. I have it randomly here and there but not regularly.

i had it really bad with dd but i found a place in massapequa that did pernatal massages and it was like nite and day after i had it done it did not bother me the rest of the pregancy. feel better

Sciatica for sure! Try some hip flexor stretches!

Yes! I had a prenatal massage today and he told me it's my piriformis muscle. He said it's from overcompensating now that my center of gravity is more forward.

Sciatica is a burning and/or painful sensation that will run from your hip/butt area down the back of your leg into your feet.

I have it so bad I get a massage every 2 weeks. My hips are out of alignment. My right hip is really bad.

If it's in you butt cheek its most likely sciatica. Sciatica is also a sharp pain too.

I was getting hip pain, like right in the joint and all in the butt area while sleeping. I got a maternity pillow (preggle) and it's been pretty much non-existent since.

I get this too! In my left one It's more like a pulled muscle though. If I turn a certain way it hits, hurts for a while and then goes away.

I don't think a dull pain like that would be sciatica. I had it with my last pregnancy, and it literally felt like an electric current running down my leg, that was also painful. It was the WORST. It's from the baby resting on the sciatica nerve.

I also had a lot of back pain, and I think from things shifting, and baby pressure you just get a lot of aches and pains in your lower back.

Yup, sciatica. Mine is sort of just letting me know it is there, not really hurting, but there.

Oh yes I have definitely had that. On my left side though. I went for a pre-natal massage yesterday and she knew right away what areas to work.

hahaha awww. I remember earlier on, I was having pain in my butt...but mostly my tailbone. It has been better, but I think we just get aches all over!

I ended up getting a name of a maternal chiropractor who said my hips were out of whack when I had this last pregnancy. Are you walking funny?

Let me tell you, when I went to her, I felt like a million bucks!! Only trouble was, insurance only had approved so many visits. But, the right butt cheek pain is starting to come back for me but I'm going to hold out as long as I can before going to the chiropractor.
