So Annoyed About Cell Phone
Some water spilled on my phone today - not a lot at all!
Now the phone is working - is on, can make calls, but I can't hear anything!
I have to bring it to the Verizon store tonight, but they said that I'll probably need to get a new phone! The phone is 6 months old and I'm not eligible for a new one for 1 1/2 years!
Of course I didn't get insurance!
Why do they make these things so dang delicate!

I am due for a new cell from Verizon in August, thank God. I have hated the one I have now since I got it!

I dropped my new phone in the water- in the pedicure chair!!! my phone was messed up for the rest of the day but was fine once the water dried... they say to take the battery out and dry the inside and around it with a hairdryer. I did that and it worked. For awhile I didnt have sound either nor did I have a screen!!!
I didnt have insurance either which I was upset about but my phone was fine now..
Hope you have better luck!!!

I dont think the insurance covers water anyway. Look on ebay, you could probably get the phone for a lot cheaper

Thanks for the advice - i took apart the phone so it could "air" out and I went to the Verizon store in RVC - didn't work the whole way and the second I literally walked into the store - it worked again! So hopefully it's all dried out!

The same thing happen to my partner. He just picked up some ice coffee, and got cut off by some person. His verizon cellphone was on the seat, and went into his ice coffee. He couldn't find his cellphone, and took a sip of his drink. He saw it in there while he was drinking. He had to pay $200 for a new phone, and of course he didn't have insurance.

Brad once spilled coffee on his phone, then tried rinsing it off. It didn't work for a day, but once it dried out, it was pretty much fine. I hope yours ends up being okay!

my BIL dropped his phone in the ocean and it didnt work for a day or 2 until he charged it ....now its fine

I learned the hard way about not getting insurance...my phone fell into the bucket of water I was using to wash my car one day...same situation as you...no insurance and not eligible for an upgrade...I quickly addded insurance after that...
