Is anyone familiar with the Teachers College reading and writing program?

Can you give me a quick overview? I can't really find info on it online....

Hi!! It's the workshop model for reading and writing. If you go onto the West Hempstead School District website and look at their ELA curriculum they have it all laid out.

Thank you! Where can I find out what the steps are to this program and the specifics? I just see that it is a program where teachers and admins are involved in the reading process...thanks!

Look on amazon for The Art of Teaching Reading and The Art of Teaching Writing by Lucy Calkins. She's one of the founders of the reading and writing project @ TC. These books should give you a basic overview :)

I'm not sure. Perhaps you could call them and ask? ITA with mosh913, Lucy Calkins books are a good place to start.
