Going to the Beach
I am trying to decide what I need when i take my 10 month old ds to the beach. Should I buy just an umbrella or do i also need a tent? I dont think we will stay for longer than 2 or 3 hours. And i am pretty sure he wont fall asleep while we are there. I just dont know if I should spend the extra money on a tent and never use it.

Re: Going to the Beach
umbrella is fine! I also bring my jogging stroller (the wheels glide right over the sand) and my DS takes better naps in there and under the umbrella than he does at home (3+ hours)..I also hang a towel over the canopy of the stroller - like he is my lil parakeet! HAHA...
When I go to the beach it is usually for many hours..I never want to leave for naps! That is my time to relax and actually read, have a drink, or whatever! HAHA!

Re: Going to the Beach
An umbrella is fine. We took my daughter when she was 5 months old. All we needed was a blanket, an umbrella, sunscreen, and diapers for her (I was still breast feeding) and whatever we needed for ourselves. At that age they don't need a lot of stuff at the beach. The beach itself is entertaining.
