Cheat Day
So today was our anniversary and we had a BBQ and it was my 'cheat day" for the week. I feel totally disgusting and want to do a work out. Tell me that defeats the point! We have another BBQ tomorrow but I feel like I need to get back on track! Help!

Re: Cheat Day
I know the feeling.
We are going to a BBQ later so I am going to a hot yoga class this morning.
It's tough.
Yesterday we were sitting around all day, bored, so I did nothing but eat bad food!

Re: Cheat Day
Remember that it's a cheat day and you didn't ruin everything. Just don't let the cheat day turn into days..congrats on your anniversary!

Exactly. I totally know the feeling. However, I still do a cheat day about once a week. For me it's necessary. I've lost some weight slowly, but I still have to enjoy myself from time to time- I won't keep the weight off any other way.

Re: Cheat Day
Practice makes perfect. The more you allow yourself reasonable indulgences (I don't like calling them cheats!) without overdoing it, the less loathing you have.
I indulged on Friday, Saturday, Sunday AND Monday and when I stepped on the scale this morning, I was only 1 pound more than Thursday. Because I sprinkled in some non-structured exercise like walking the dogs, yardwork, housework and I didn't gorge on things.
To me, the indulgences are worth it, and keep me on track. I hope you get to that point too and don't feel too guilty!

Re: Cheat Day
You are totally right...I'm an idiot. I weighed in on Monday after my cheat day and was up a little under a pound. (No big deal.) Today I was a half a pound less than I was before I cheated. I know that cheats help keep the metabolism up and running...I have to work on not feeling so uneasy about them though! Thanks for the help...can't wait to cheat again this weekend lol
