Re: new heart rate monitor!
i used it this morning and it was great. easy to use, clear to read. however, i do have a question for those that use it regularly:
my main goal is weight loss. so i tried to keep my heart rate in the fat burn zone, but it was hard because i felt like i had to slow myself down. i did let myself go faster and get into the fitness zone for a little while but since my goal is weight loss i aimed to stay in fat burn.
is there a particular ratio of fat burn to fitness that i should aim for my heartrate to be in any given workout??

You could break it up and concentrate on fat burn x times per week, and fitness the other days. I was doing interval training for a while to see how it worked - going from my fat burning zone (130) to fitness zone (150) for short periods and then back down. But I really didn't see as much of a difference as when I do more of the fat burning workouts.
However, I do break up the cardio with weight lifting too which definitely has improved my overall fitness and body image.
Congrats on the purchase! They're so cool. Don't forget to check if you can upload your stats to their website and keep track of it there.
