IMO, a must have with a beach umbrella is a sand anchor:
I got mine at k-mart. on Wednesday it was windy at the beach and everyone's umbrella was flying away - mine didn't budge!

Thanks for your advice ladies! I went to CVS and picked up one - 20% off and I had $4.50 in extra care bucks to use! Great buy! And it came with the sand anchor so it won't blow away!

The one I just got at CVS is an oversized one and comes with an anchor!
