DH having strange headache/pain...anyone experience??

DH has been complaining here and again (often enough to worry me) about a stabbing shooting pain in the back right side of his head.

it doesn't last very long, maybe 10 minutes, but he says it's very painful and he thinks it's "a brain tumor"

I'm sure and obviously would hope that it's nothing that extreme, but seeing as I've never experienced this I figured I'd ask if anyone has any insight to what this could be??

Webmd and other sites say everything from cluster/migraine headaches, to brain anneurysms are possible causes...that clearly doesn't help LOL

there is no way to know unless he sees a neuro and gets checked out. could a form of migraines....or god forbid something else.
most likely not...but have to rule everything else out kwim?

it could be a pinched nerve, i've had that exact type of pain and thats what it was,
once i was prescribed muscle relaxants and another time i was told to go to physical therapy where they would give me neck massages with a machine

Thanks ladies! Yes we discussed the range of possibilities so since DH already sees a brain and spine neurologist for his back, he is going to make a point of bringing this up to them ASAP
