Did you wash the car seat cover?
The cloth cover and infant insert comes totally off of my two Chicco Keyfits, so I am thinking I should wash it and put it back on before the babies come, just hope it doesn't shrink

Yes I put mine in the wash with dreft machine wash cold on delicate cycle.
Just remember how to put it back on. It took me a while to figure it out.

I did not wash it when it was brand new, never dawned on me that I should. Since my DD are only going to be 15months apart we are using the same seat for DD2. This time I washed it by hand with dreft and hung it up to dry.

Same here, but I didn't put the covers in the dryer -- I let them air dry.
