What does it really feel like???

I have heard so many descriptions about what it feels like the first time you feel the baby move. Im 17 weeks and I'm not sure what I am feeling. Some say flutters, some say that if you rub your arm lightly, the tickle you feel, thats what it feels like inside. Is it inside I would feel it or on my stomach? Others say it feels like gas. I guess I just really want to feel her so I want a good understanding of what it should feel like. TIA

Mine really just feels like someone poking me from inside, like little taps! I love it! I wasn't sure if it was the baby but now I feel it everyday and I love it!

The first time I felt it, it honestly felt like a gas bubble building up, but it didn't go anywhere! That's how I knew it was the baby and not the Mexican food I had just ate! Eventually it turns into more like flutters and then pokes and then kicks!

At 20 weeks it felt like little bubbles inside my belly. At 21 weeks it turned into more of a tapping feeling. It still makes me jump when I feel it

it felt like a gentle poke from the inside or like a PP said, like little gas bubble popping, but it has been very slight so at first I wasn't sure if it was the baby, but my doc said it was!

I felt Emmy pretty early as with this baby too, but it felt like a pager going off in my belly Once at 18wks it was a gentle quick nudge that made me stop and think what was that, at 20w6d I can now feel the baby kicking and at night moving across my belly and stretching. You'll feel it more and more and after you notice it happen once or twice in a row it'll make more sense.

For me it felt like a fish flip-flopping inside. Now at 26 weeks it's like someone's trying to get out!

It felt like popcorn popping in my stomach. I mostly felt it at first when I was laying on my back (when I was still allowed to). Those were the very first sensations I felt. Now, it's actual kicks.

For me it started around 16 weeks and felt like someone was tickling me. I wasn't quite sure if this was "flutters" but dr. said probably so. Around 20 weeks these flutters turned into what I would describe a bubbles....similar to gas. This turned ultimately into all out kicks by 22 weeks. I am 24 weeks tomorrow and have been seeing my stomach move and feeling pretty strong kicks since then. Once (about a week ago)I was lying on the couch relaxing and she kicked me so hard it made me jump!

Did you ever have a twitch in your eyelid? To me it felt like that at first, but way low down in my pelvis right at the bikini line.

For me, it felt like a muscle spasm, but more rhythmic. I have an anterior placenta so I didn't feel too much in the beginning and it was few and far in between...hope you get your first feels soon

for me with my son, i never got the flutters. What it felt like to me was popcorn popping. As the weeks went on, it got stronger and stronger and then full on kicks.

With DC1 my first feeling was like flutters.

With DC2 my first feeling was a little jab I felt from the inside while I was laying in bed.

Turns out both kids are like that in real life.

Honestly, truthfully, I thought it was gas. And I say this without laughing. But I was on my side, and it just had that burbling feeling like I was going to fart, and when I didn't, I realized what it was the second time I felt it. It's like something tapping on me from the inside.
