Does anyone's swing not work anymore?
After 5 months, it barely moves back and forth. I have the starlight papasan which I plug into the wall.
Should I contact Fisher Price? I would have liked to have used this for future babies.

Close to 16 pounds now but even when we don't have him in the swing, it barely moves.
eta: it says up to 25 pounds but then I read that people were having trouble after 12-15 lbs.

I am definitely going to but they aren't open on weekends! What if I had a swing emergency???
On a side note you should always buckle your kid in. I, because I'm a bad parent, don't do it all of the time and my DS managed to escape from the swing. He didn't get hurt but I froze in amazement. He arched his back and managed to roll out of it, it was the weirdest thing ever. He slowly got rolled out came out on his tummy, like "eyyyyy, what's going on here on the floor?"

I use to leave Aidan unbuckled too when he was really little. Then he did the same thing!!! It happens to everyone....Hopefully you guys can make it to Monday with a slow moving swing...

I think that's the final straw but I will get it fixed or replaced for future kids. Luckily, we're going to Florida for the next few days, so he will be so out of place he won't remember the swing.
Did Aidan hurt himself? I hope he did something cool like Nate, in retrospect.

It's the half a$$ed parenting thread!!!
But seriously, at Adriana's age, she's not really going that many places. Once she starts arching her back, then there's problems.

Re: Does anyone's swing not work anymore?
Trust me, from this point forward buckle him in!!! The movement only gets worse.
Did you change batteries? maybe they are weaker?
Also, the heavier baby gets, the higher you have to up the swing motion.

Re: Does anyone's swing not work anymore?
MINE!!!! My DD was 5 months when it stopped working. Would be really slow and made a clicking sound. I had gotten it as a gift from my registry at BBB so I went back and they took it back (with no receipt and no box!!) and gave me a brand new one in a box!!!!! THEY WERE GREAT!!!

Re: Does anyone's swing not work anymore?
Definitley call fisher price. I have 2 cradle swings starlight and the lamb swing. My 11 month old will still nap in them and she is 20 lbs and they work great. Maybe something is wrong with the motor in yours.

Re: Does anyone's swing not work anymore?
If it's under a year old they'll replace the motor. This happened to us. Definitely call them; we had the same exact swing too.

He was fine... He basically just rolled out of it... Didn't make a peep...
