The everything must go sale started... i just stopped at the one next door to MSG... it was packed but they have every register open so the line moves quickly...
if i bought physical books anymore then id be in heaven right now lol

I went yesterday b/c one of my students had givn me a gift card and I read that they were still accepting them.
I bought Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang, a magazine, and a Sex & The City book for $45. Everything was between 10% & 40% off

I'd say 90% of the store is 10% off... The rest is 20 and 40%... Still some good deals but not great deals!

I am use an e-reader but also still buy books. I am bummed about another book store closing. But then again these big box stores closed mom & pop stores. It is such a vicious circle.
I feel for all these people losing their jobs.

I went to the Borders in Bohemia last night and it looked like it was ransacked. Things were only 10-20% off!!

I love borders but that drives me crazy! "Everything must go, huge sale!"...10 - 40% isn't that much of a sale!
I am going to miss them soo much though. Even though I started buying digital books, I still relied on them for ideas, a sanctuary, and a great place to read and drink coffee.

Agree!!! What annoyed me even more was when one of the employees said today was the final day that particular store was open. really? and only 20-30% off? that seemed low. it should have been at least 50%
i've never liked borders to begin with. not going to miss them much
