Really Good Stuff - purchase vs. create
I keep looking through the "Really Good Stuff" catalog and they do have a lot of good things/ideas. I was wondering if it's better to buy or create some of these things.
I'm teaching 2nd grade this year. Is there anything that you've bought from stores like this that are worth it? If so what?
I know we're not getting teacher's choice this year (NYC) so I don't want to spend a lot but was just curious...
Thanks!

I teach kindergarten and a lot of the cute projects I see in R-G-S, I just recreate from my own supplies. However, I do purchase items from them also. It all depends on the project and what materials I already have.

Re: Really Good Stuff - purchase vs. create
I have recreated so much of their stuff, like posters, the desk fairy, mystery walker. I have also purchased a lot. It's such a good catalog. But our school encourages hand made posters rather than just purchasing, but it's not enforced.

Re: Really Good Stuff - purchase vs. create
i was considering the same thing! there area few like big ideas posters and essential questions posters that i thought were good (in the sense that i dont really care but my admin would thing theyre good ) but since our teachers choice money got cut,ill prob just make them myself. i feel like most posters i can do myself instead of buying. other stuff, it depends..
