Re: "parties"
I swear with every bday, my attention span gets shorter and shorter.
The other girls seem to enjoy the presentation of goods as they laugh and blush...I am a sharper image gal myself I just get antsy and the ones I seem to go to are long.
I sell jewelry...the girls that I sell with like to present for 30-40 minutes. I am more like a 12 min presentation-then I like to grab a glass of wine and answer questions...mainly because I can't imagine having to listen to the things I have to say

Re: "parties"
I HATE pocketbook parties. Buying a fake purse is just something I have no desire to do.
One party I haven't seen listed is Scentsy. My friend sells this stuff. But all it is is warmers with wax to make your house smell nice. Eh.
I'm going to an Arbonne party next week - nice, but expensive stuff. I'm sure I'll buy SOMETHING there!

Re: "parties"
when i was a kid, i would be dragged by my mom to all these parties: tupperwear, princess homes (i think that's what they were called, mary kay and a million others.
as an adult, i've been to one candle party and that's it. i had an ok time because of the friend who was having it.
they really are NOT my thing

lol i understand..i do think though its alil more difficult with jewelry.."oh wow this looks great with this and this and its made of sterling silver"...theres not much else to say..most of your products are essentially about looks, so you can definitely get away with saying less...my presentation is about 40 minutes long but it includes hysterical games (my version of suck and blow, a penis sculpting game, a penis drawing game lol) when youre around your friends and feeling giddy it makes for a great time! :) and i average about $400 take home pay, for each party i do, so its DEF worth it for me

Re: "parties"
Hi all! I'm new here, and I was reading alot of your responses and just wanted to pop in and put my two cents in... I am a Tastefully Simple consultant. Have been for 5 years. I LOVE MY JOB not because it makes me a million dollars, but because I can get out of the house two to three nights a week and be an ADULT! Anyone who stays home with their kids can tell you that being a stay at home mom can drive you a little bonkers. With Tastefully Simple I can get out, be me (not somebody's mom) and interact with other people who are not my kids. Sure you can do that at the grocery store or go out with your friends, but wouldn't you rather make money than spend it??
Anyway I'm not here to promote my business... I'm here to tell you that my favorite parties (beside Tastefully Simple parties) are Tupperware parties by one particular consultant, Aunt Barbara. Ever heard of her?? If not you should. BEST. PARTY. EVER.
