OMG... I'm so sorry you're going through this. I've also been thinking of you constantly since your original post and I pray that we get good news from you each time you come on.
I can't imagine what you're going through and completely understand your feelings about leaving the hospital, but previous posters are right... she's in the best place right now to be well taken care of. I know that's easier said than done. I give you a lot of credit... it can't be easy.
You, your DH and your little girl are in my prayers.
From a fellow NICU mommy, lots of and for you and your family. The day I had to leave Max at the hospital was awful, but you have to know in your heart that your baby girl is in the the best hands and she will be home in your arms soon. There are going to be good days as well as rough days, but in the end, everything will be ok.
I just wanted to say that my DH was born under similar circumstance (swallowing the stuff in there and with the cord wrapped around his neck) he was in NICU for a while but my MIL swears he was NEVER sick after that! He was the healthiest, chubbiest kid EVER! I can't even imagine how hard it is to leave her there, but she is in great hands and will be home with you soon!
