Recommend Your Vet (in or around Lindenhurst)
We had the best vet, but he sold his practice, and I don't know if we're going to stick with the one he sold it to. He's very different...I guess we were spoiled before with our vet! Anyway, just wondering, does anyone have a vet they love near Lindenhurst (can be in Babylon, Amityville, or somewhat close by)? Thanks!

My next door neighbor LOVES the vet at All Pets, Dr Corona his name is. They have been living in Lindenhurst for a looooong time and have had many pets too. We will be switching to them in the spring. We use Babylon Animal Hospital now and like them but you have to ask for one of the women vets, the man is a jerk.

Amityville Animal Hospital on sunrise highway in amityville
This practice did amazing things for my dog - he had a slipped disc & emergency vet basically told us just to put him down. We saw Dr. Cucarro & when he asked what we wanted to do we said whatever it takes! He sent us to a great surgeon & we had many, many more years of love & happiness with my boy when another dr. was willing to write him off. Dr. Roiland is the head of the practice now and he was very considerate when treating our "super-senior" (16 yrs old) dog. and when it came time for us to say goodbye he cried with us.
I now live in queens & go back to amityville to have my cat treated there.

Re: Recommend Your Vet (in or around Lindenhurst)
Thank you. I really would like someone who actually thinks about what's best for each dog as opposed to doing everything right by the books (though I guess a vet needs to have a lot of years experience to be like this), who doesnt push for unnecessary things and who has no problem calling other specialists for opinions on things. We had such a great vet...I remember times when he would call on Sundays to check up on them if they had surgery or with test results. When my dog was diagnosed with what looked like cancer which it was, we had a appt with a specialist by the next day set up and she ended up having surgery then too. I guess someone who goes above and beyond is what I mean!
