Help! I'm new at OPK
I bought them on Monday and used the first one on Tuesday morning on CD9. I have tested every day since and I haven't gotten my smiley face yet.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, I tested in the morning when I woke up because I saw in the directions that it could be done at anytime of day but it should be done at the same time each day.
Then I read on some website that you shouldn't do it first thing in the morning and that you should do it between 12pm and 8pm.
Can someone help me? When should I test? How many times a day should I test?

With the instructions that came with my opk's it said NOT to use first morning urine. It said to test from 10 to 8pm and make sure you test the same time everyday. I only tested one time a day. Some girls test twice a day. You know when your test is postive when your test line is as dark or darker than the control line. Once you get a positive reading stop testing . From that point of your positive opk the best time to conceive is after 24 hours but before 72 hours.

I use CBE digital OPK. I normally start on CD9 and do it twice a day. FMU and late afternoon around 530pm. Some months i get the positive in the am some i get in the afternoon.

some people swear by fmu some hold it in..untill u know ur cycle i would test 2 times a day if u can

Thanks ladies,
Now here i my other question:
Today I am CD12 and I still haven't gotten my smiley face on the CBE OPK, is that normal?
I went off the pill on July 3 and got my period on July 25 which means I am in the zone for a  but haven't gotten it yet. Is this normal or am I just being impatient?

I just started the OPKs this month as well. I also started testing on Tuesday which was CD11 and just got my smiley today-CD14. You are definitely still in the range for a smiley. I wouldn't worry!

my cycles range between 26-29days
one month i got a smiley on cd 15 another on cd 13.
i think you're ok

I normally test in the AM when I wake up and when I get home from work around 5pm.
I typically get my Smiley or + OPK between CD 12 and 15.
