Moms who had a christening party for DS.....
Show/share with me your ideas for decorations, table set up, etc.
We are having it fairly simple at a Knights of Columbus Hall. Besides blue and white table cloths and balloons, I need some ideas!
TIA!
ETA: want to keep this fairly inexpensive, thanks....

Re: Moms who had a christening party for DS.....
I had fancy blue , White chocolate crosses made at a chocolate store in new Hyde park on Jericho tpke. The satin ribbon used to seal the lollipop had his name and the date printed on it. For centerpieces I got small white mum plants from stop n shop, placed them in clear glass vase from michaels and then stuffed shiny tissue paper inside the vase around the plant. Then I tied blue satin ribbon around them. I got little confetti pieces from party city and lightly sprinkled it on the tables and the cake table. For the cake table I put his picture next to the cake. Hope this gives you some ideas or at least gets the wheels turning

Re: Moms who had a christening party for DS.....
I had my party in my yard, so I had some candles as part of the centerpiece ( Yankee Candle Conceal - anti-mosquito candles). I got 99 cent votive candle holders at Michael's and a bag of cream colored sand. The candle holders had a slight flair to them at the top, so I wrapped blue satin ribbon around them there. the candles themselves were tealights. It was pretty cute. Then, because I really didn't have any decorations that screamed Baptism, I got 99 cent wooden crosses and 59 cent flat round pieces, and 2 cans spray paint. My brother painted the crosses blue, and the bases cream. DH drilled out a pilot hole, and then my brother screwed them together. I still have a few candle setups, as well as the crosses, I'll try and take pictures later for you.

I went to the dollar store and got cylindrical bud vases in baby blue. I filled them with dried flowers that I bought on sale at the local florist. I wrapped the favor boxes with sheer blue ribbon that matched the flowers in the vases.
