NYC School Budgets
Anyone familiar with them?
I was looking under my new school's budget and my position is listed at a lot higher salary then what I should earn. I am the only one in position (it says push in/pull out) and 1 position.
Does that mean I would be getting more pay?

Re: NYC School Budgets
In the city your salary is tied to the steps and differential, not to your position. So if you are a teacher then you make x amount for the # of years you have worked and # of credits you have.
I am not familiar with the budgets but One of my AP's said that schools are assigned a flat amount per teacher...the don't really use individaul salaries.
Where did you find your schools budget?

Re: NYC School Budgets
Because funding is pulled from different categories, it isn't a dollar to dollar exchange. It is like schools are penalized for providing an AIS teacher as opposed to a classroom teacher.
The other assistant principal at my school in galaxy makes 17,000 more then he really makes. It is like paying a surcharge! Doesn't make a whole lot of sense!
