Feeling Blue--No Call About My Interview As Of Yesterday

I THOUGHT my interview went great! When I left the Principal gave me his school buisness card and said to me here are my #'s and e-mail address. Of course when I got home I e-mailed him a thank-you. He said he has a few more people to interview and that he'd like to make his decision on Friday (interview was Tuesday) so he can get the papers rolling. So, of course I waitied and waited all day yesterday and NO CALL! I do see the school is still on the open market system and not sure once they fill a vacancy how quickly it comes down. In any event, trying to hold onto SOME hope because I know a zillion things CAN come up but its hard to not feel discouraged.

I thought I had this position , principal even took down my social security number and file number, and she said she was going to make a decision by Tuesday- well Tuesday came and no call no nothing. I decided to call her the following day and she told me that she filled the position and that I came in second ... NOT saying this will happen to you, but I would call and see what's up you know? I had anxiety attacks just thinking about it so I called....

Thanks and I'm SO sorry for you. What District was this in? I just e- mailed him this morning inquiring(hope it wasn't pushy) and I got an automated reply stating that he is on vacation through Tuesday and will be back in as of Wednesday to answe all e-mails I am praying he hasn't made a decision but who knows. Did you get an e-mail right after she said the position was filled that states the vacancy is no longer available?
