I want to set-up a blog for my students - need help

I teach 7th grade ELA and each student has access to computers so I thought it would be fun to set-up a blog of some sort. Maybe start it as a review of some summer reading? I have no clue where to start or how to set it up though! Any websites you know of to help get me started or any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I don't really have any experience, but I think some people in my district use edublogs.

Just wanted to put it out there...I think in my district, if the teacher wants to set up a blog, you have to have parental permission if you want your students to be able to comment on the blog.

Someone told me about EdModo. They said that it is like Blackboard but geared more towards students rather than graduate students

I have never used and have only explored the site minimally. I teach Spanish so I don't know if that makes a difference, but I think the site could be used for every and any subject.

weebly is also fun! i started it last year, but didn't update or use it too much. Hopefully this year!
