UPDATE - Entenmann's Great South Bay Run 10/1/11
Just an FYI because I know a few people were interested in this race.
The newsletter stated that registration would be available as of 7/1/11. However I have not seen anything online about it yet and the form is not on the Town of Islip website. So I called the Sports Office and they said that registration will not start until August. They took my name and number for the mailing list. I asked if online registration will be available and he said mostly like it will be but they are not 100% sure yet
If anyone else wants to call to get on the mailing list, the number is 224-5403

I just called again and they said that they mailed out the registration forms a few days ago. The are probably NOT doing online registrations. If you want to run race call the number above and have them mail you the registration form.

Are you definiteky doing it?
I still amnot sure whteher to do this or the diva.

Yes I am definitely doing it. I am on a tight budget right now so $20 is way better than $90! Plus I live in Suffolk so Bay Shore is much closer to home. I plan to run the LI Half next year which is also in Eisenhower Park so that's another reason why figured I'd skip the Diva since its almost the same course.

Thanks for the update! I think I am going to do it, but I will probably register day of race because I don't want to do it if it rains.

I have never run more than 6.5 miles in my life! My goal is to improve my time for Cow Harbor this year - just hoping since this 10K is flat (and after it) I could do even better!!
