Another chemical - update
I think I'm going through another chemical. After several days of + hpt's, the lines are now getting lighter and the digital has gone from PG to NOT. I just know it's happening again. I just went through this in May.
I guess i'm just looking for any BTDT advice re what to do medically (any testing, things to ask the doctor?), hugs, prayers, anything. I just feel so broken right now. I don't want to go through this again. I can't believe this is happening again.
Update 8/12 --- Beta results were an 11 from yesterday (13 dpo). Doctor still wants me to recheck levels tomorrow to see if they are doubling, but I know they are going down (hpt lines keep getting fainter). sigh.
Has anyone gone through recurrent chemicals/early miscarriages? I'm really struggling with whether or not I should see an RE at this point.

Re: Another chemical
I would say since this is your second I would go to the doctor and order some tests to figure out the reason why this is happening...

Re: Another chemical
I'm sorry.
I would get in touch with your OB and let them know you are concerned and see what they suggest.
From what my doctor said chemicals are very common and the only reason they are detected a lot of the time is because women test very early on before AF is even due. So many things have to go just right for a successful conception and pregnancy that it truly is a miracle when it does happen.
I think I may have had a chemical after my miscarriage. I had a positive digital test when AF was due along with bad cramping and some spotting (which has happened every time I have been pregnant) but the next day when I went for a beta it was negative. AF came a day or two after that. If it was a chemical or not couldn't be confirmed but I had a positive digital and late period. If I wasn't testing so early and counting DPO I wouldn't have even realized anything was up.
I'm sorry. Hopefully it's nothing but bad luck, but I would get in touch with your doctor and maybe they can run some tests. I had testing done after my miscarriage.
I wish you lots of luck in the future

Re: Another chemical
Thanks for the hugs everyone. I called my doctor and he said not to freak out yet, this could be a normal pg with low beta's right now b/c I'm so early, but I really don't think he's right. He ordered my levels checked today and in two days. He said if it is another chemical, we'll talk then about what to do next.
I feel so helpless.

Re: Another chemical - update
For recurrent chemical pregnancies and miscarriages, I would definitely suggest that you visit an RE. Obs do not monitor your hormone levels as frequent as an RE would nor do they conduct other appropriate testing for implantation failure etc.
What was your progesterone?
I always say "trust your instincts." It doesn't hurt to go see someone else.

Re: Another chemical - update
They did not monitor my progesterone that I'm aware of, only HCG. I even questioned the doctor about my prog. levels when I first called, but he said let's just do a beta first (?).
On top of all this, the lab tech at Quest refused to do my bloodwork this morning bc the doctor abbreviated the test on the script and bc it's a Saturday she couldn't confirm it with him! She said "Oh, just come back on Monday". Really? I explained to her what I needed and that it had to be done today, she said No and I burst into tears and ran out. (this is after another person at the same lab two days earlier took my other script fine that was written the exact same way). So my second beta wasn't even done. I am SO angry and frustrated right now.
Has anyone here seen Dr Braverman for recurrent loss? I may follow up with him depending on how responsive my OB is next week.
