Looking for a great pediatrician in Babylon/ Massapequa area. Due in Nov and need to start meeting with peds. Gender matters not- simply a good bedside manner, friendly & efficient office.

I go to Pediatric Immediate Care in Lindenhurst. It's on Sunrise Highway next to the town hall in the Zwanger Persiri radiology bldg.

I want to give you an honest assessment:

I was considering changing recently because I started to receive bills from them that I did not know where they were coming from, but I got the situation cleared up. Actually they were for co-pays they didn't collect, but were mislabeled as other procedures.


Positive: They are open 7 days a week, I believe until 11PM and I think they have 4 peds and one NP.

Positive: They also have a practice up in Smithtown that keeps similar hours and is generally always empty. I've gone there before when DS was sick and couldn't get an appt in Lindenhurst (sometimes in the winter they get really busy).

Positive: What I like about this practice is they have late hours and they can do most procedures right in their office (i.e. allergy testing, broken bones, etc.).

Like other doctor offices though, sometimes you do have to deal with snarky, short-tempered receptionists and I also believe they do accept Medicaid recepients. This 2nd issue has never effected me or DS, but one of my friend's stopped going for this reason.

I think it's just personal preference.

My advice is to try to schedule early AM appts for routine stuff and you generally walk right in. Also keep track of who set up the appt. because once I didn't and the woman forget to enter us in the system so we waited a bit longer than we really should have.

They have a sick and a well area, and when DC is a newborn, they will let you bring them into an examining room to avoid the waiting area until you can be seen.

I use Grello Pediatrics in West Islip (close to Bab Village) I like that the family has been around forever. I can see 5 different people when I go there, but I like them all. (2 of the Dr's there are in the Grello family)

We use dr george in west islip. The entire staff is very accomodating, and all of the DRs are amazing! They are open 7 days a week, sick and well rooms. they are just great,

We use Dr. Woletsky from Suffolk Pediatrics in West Islip - we love all the doctors in the practice!

We also use Dr. George, love the practice!! We drive all the way from Amityville to go there.
